The Newcastle office of IP Group plc, which manages the North East Technology Fund, has further strengthened its team with the appointment of Ian Wilson as Investment Manager.

A chartered accountant and corporate finance professional who has worked at Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young, Ian is responsible for identifying and progressing investment transactions into emerging and mature technology businesses with high growth potential where these are based in or relocating to the North East of England.

Ian, who is 32 and from Gosforth, originally left the region to do his accountancy training and most recently lived and worked in Leeds.
